Headaches & Migraines

Understanding headaches & migraines

Headaches have many causes. Some of the most common — tension-type headaches and headaches that start in the neck (cervicogenic) — are often linked to muscle tension, posture and stiffness in the upper spine.

Migraines are a different condition, often with throbbing pain, sensitivity to light or sound, and nausea. Some people with migraines also have neck and shoulder tension that may make episodes feel worse.

Chiropractic care does not replace your medical doctor. It may be a helpful, drug-free complement for headaches related to the neck and muscles.
